à Original_Syn13 : You admit knowing the demographics, but it's not just that. Texas cannot be America's standard bearer of freedom and limit any individual's lawful expression thereof and if they're convinced of that, then the rest of the country will follow. The people aren't the enemy, it's the populist glory hounds who live for positive feedback and haven't the courage to admit they either don't care or outright think differently.

à Samneric : you have a point. A part of me thought doesn't feel like I should have to fight for something I feel shouldn't even be an issue. However, as soon as I finish that thought, I immediately think off all the people around the world you had to fight for the most basic things. It's hard to describe the level of frustration I feel. it's almost like a color I have never seen or a flavor I have never tasted. The struggle to put into words with how I feel and many people feel leaves me with a sense of uneasiness. Directly and in person, no one seems to have an issue with me its the politicians and people on the internet that create this way of life. a part of me struggles to make sense of it all. Back to your point though, I think you are in saying that I should stay put. A part of it is my own doing, in that I choose to move to Texas. lol, surrounded by the enemy if you will.

It isn't constitutional to limit your investment or purchases if those substances are legal in the state or country, so hormones cannot be banned, based on equal treatment. You may have to ahop other states or abroad to obtain, but you might save money doing it honestly. Don't move, stay in Texas and remind them you're there to enjoy the freedom and economic success it champions. It's not going to be easy but nothing worth having is free. You're right about hypocrisy and pushing values on people, but that goes both ways. The problem is when government takes a side, either side. Right now, money is being clawed back for trans acceptance programs in other countries but it shouldn't have gone there when that's money from folks who may not agree, pendulum. America is at it's best being neutral in social philosophy and acceptance is coded into the fabric of our republic, our leaders are human however and they want to seem important and indispensable so they see which way the wind is blowing and try to glide along. Clout seekers on both sides refuse to talk sanely to each other about issues and instead spew talking points that make a good soundbite or thumbnail but they've no substance cuz most of their constituents only care about 1 or 2 things. All that said, you won't necessarily have the same opportunities abroad, most countries where the politics are more friendly have substantially higher taxes along with existential internal strife and the ones that have a stable internal structure and population that's relatively homogeneous are transphobic and/or economically unstable. You can be the change you wish to see in the world by just hanging out and pushing back, wait out the pendulum and maybe use the experience to run for office.
